The Business Networking Group will be back in motion beginning with a May meeting at the gazebo in the Arboretum Monday, the 17th, from 6:30-7:30. Our topic will be “Planning from a Point of Uncertainty”.

We invite every one seeking their place in the business world, whether hustling on your own or working with someone else, who wonders how to fit into the new economy. Social distancing strongly encouraged, light refreshments provided. Masks strongly encouraged for vulnerable.

Business Networking Group meeting at the Library on Monday, the 24th.  We're meeting at Kent Library from 6:30-8:00. We're learning from Linda Lucas-Fayerweather, the Business Librarian, about all of the business and career resources available at the library.

The Business Networking Group is meeting at Christine Palmer’s home, 2443 Collingwood Blvd. (just in front of the Collingwood Arts Center), from 6:30 to about 8:00 on Wednesday, November 20th. We’re having an informational meeting about the re- sources available from the city for OWE entrepreneurs from SCORE, the SBA, and more. Networking among OWE business people is always a staple at our meetings, so bring some business cards to share!

The next entrepreneurship event is a “Tax Party” Meet and Greet on Thursday April 12 at 6:00 at the Black Kite. Come meet fellow current and potential small business owners and celebrate tax season being nearly over!

As the new chair of the OWEA Entrepreneurship committee, I would like to thank Derek Bunch for his leadership of this new committee over the past year and invite all of you to help the Old West End Association continue to explore ways to promote the many current OWE businesses and encourage new businesses opening in our neighborhood.
