Calling all Neighbors! You may have heard that the Old West End is working on getting a ‘Toledo Stories’ episode made for WGTE Public Television. If you have ever watched this series on WGTE you know that these shows tell amazing stories about the history of our city.

To date there is no episode specifically dedicated to telling the story of the Old West End Neighborhood although there are some episodes that do touch on the Old West End as it relates to other Toledo History such as the episode on Mary Manse College or the episode on Fair Housing. These shows are privately funded and are not produced with the general operating money that public television receives.

The cost to produce a half hour program is over $30,000. So far we are well on our way to reaching that number by donations from private individuals and companies here in Toledo. Getting to just half the goal will let us start production, and to date we have raised just over $24,000 and are heading to the finish line! Most of the project will be funded by larger donations but we still need smaller donations to make this happen.

$5 up to $500 will be very helpful in getting us closer to making this happen. Please consider making tax deductible donation before the year is out!
