The OWE Cushing-Utopia Addition is asking for volunteers for their Rock the Block event on Saturday, May 18th from 10 am to 1 pm. This spring clean-up is a neighborhood revitalization effort where neighbors help neighbors complete beautification and exterior home maintenance projects, at no cost to the owner or resident.

Lots of work to do!!! yard clean up, electrical prep work, Front steps need repaired/rebuilt.
Bring your power tools, yard tools, work gloves and your friends.
Volunteer time is critical to the project. Lots to do, so all skill levels are appreciated. Also great opportunity to learn skills from others.
Still looking for donations. Check your basements! Need a thermostat. wood cedar shingles, door handles, window hardware, anything else you think you have that would be usable in our renovations.

Thank you to those who came to our December neighborhood meeting and to LuCynthia Jones, Neighborhood Navigator for the City of Toledo, who came out to celebrate the end of the year with us and to offer her support for the New Year!
As there were many questions relating to City services, it became clear it was time to invite Engage Toledo to come back to start the New Year with us. Thus, our January meeting will be an opportunity to engage personally with Toledo's one call service shop 419-936-2020. Bring any and all neighborhood related concerns and issues to the meeting. A representative will be present to review specific issues with us and provide general information about the work of Engage Toledo.
